
As seen in our Burger of the Month series, here’s a couple of burger beauties that can easily be made at home. First, the perfect alchemy of two food classics in a pizza burger. Then take it up a notch and try the jackfruit stacked burger too.
When The Moon Hits Your Eye Like A Big Pizza Pie Burger
An American classic smashed up with the Italian favourite for a tantalizing experience on your tastebuds. As you chew the flavours meld together for an elevated experience. Marinara, pepperoni, and cheese set the stage for The Very Good Burger. Although it was love at first sight, the dripping sauce and ooey gooey cheese will make a mark on your heart that will warm you from the inside out, over and over. Or as long as you can make the burger last.
Serves 4 (divide by 4 if you're making it for one)
Ingredients
1 pkg The Very Good Burger
2 pkg Very Good Pepperoni
4 Burger buns
4 oz Marinara sauce
1 pkg Cheddah
1 Red onion, sliced
1 Yellow pepper, sliced
1 Green pepper, sliced
2 oz Olive oil
Directions
Preheat BBQ to 400*F.
Slice the mozzarella cheese into 12 slices and reserve. Slice the pepperoni into 16 slices and reserve.
Place burgers on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side. After the burgers have been flipped, place pepperoni slices on the grill and grill for 2-3 minutes per side.
In a small saucepan, heat the marinara sauce and keep warm.
Heat a large pan on medium heat, add olive oil, saute peppers and onions and until tender.
Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Arrange the burgers, start with the burger patty and then layer the marinara sauce, cheese, and pepperoni for an oeegy gooey pizza-like toppin’. Then add the peppers and onions on each bun and serve with lots of napkins!!

All Jacked Up Burger
Sweet and savoury mix and mingle for the perfect flavour combination in this saucy little number. Ignite your BBQ then your tastebuds when you whip up this vegan burger. The perfect way to show off your grill master skills.
Serves 4 (divide by 4 if you're making it for one)
Ingredients
- 1 pkg The Very Good Burgers
- 4 burger buns
- 1 pkg Pepper Jack
- 1 pkg BBQ Pulled Jackfruit
- 4 tbsp Whiskey BBQ sauce or your favourite BBQ sauce
- 2 cup Vegan pork rinds (Sorry only available at our Butcher Shop, you can find them in your local health food store or online)
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 3 tbsp VGB Ranch Sauce or favourite vegan mayo
- 8 slice your favourite pickles
Directions
Preheat BBQ to 400*F
Slice the cheese into 12 slices and reserve.
Place burgers on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side.
Brush the burgers with BBQ sauce between each flip and again when you remove them from the grill.
In a small saucepot, heat the BBQ JackFruit with ¼ of the BBQ sauce.
Toast the buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Divide BBQ sauce between the burger buns and arrange the cheese, jackfruit, pork rinds, lettuce, pickles and ranch sauce on each bun and serve with lots of napkins!!
