Let the spirit of the holidays live on with the Burger of the Month recipe. The December burger was something festive, of course. It was stacked with all your holiday favs like stuffin' and cranberries. We were nuts about it... literally, you must try the Toasted Nut Cream Cheeze.
The Nutcracker Suite Burger was a classic Very Good Burger patty that is "stuffed" (not actually inside the burger) with Black Kale and Sausage Stuffing, Toasted Nut Cream Cheeze, Baby Arugula and Cranberry Mayo. Droolin' yet?
The Nutcracker Suite Burger
Makes 4 servings
1 pkg The Very Good Burgers
4 Burger buns
2 cups Baby Arugula
2 cups Black Kale and Sausage Skillet Stuffin'
4 tbsp Cranberry Sauce
4 tbsp Flax Mayo
½ cup Cream cheeze
2 tbsp Toasted walnuts, chopped
2 tbsp Toasted pecans, chopped
2 tbsp Toasted almonds, chopped
1 tsp Sage, freshly chopped
4 6” bamboo skewers
Preheat BBQ to 400*F.
Place burgers on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side. In a small bowl mix the mayo and cranberry sauce together. In a medium bowl mix the cream cheeze, chopped nuts and sage together.
Arrange the burger buns and on each bottom bun divide the cream cheeze mixture and arugula. Place the VGB patty on top of the arugula and top the patty with the stuffing. Top the stuffing with the cranberry mayo and secure the top of the bun with the bamboo skewer.
