Plant-Based Cheese Sauce

All of our plant-based cheeses can be made into a sauce in 20 minutes by combining a few ingredients. The Very Good Cheese Co block, water and 4 simple ingredients. 

Use it to whip up some creamy Mac Cheese using our Sharp and Sassy or Rascal Cheddar. Spice up your night and nachos with Spicy Nacho Sauce using our Captain Pepper Jack.


  • The Very Good Cheese Co Cheese Block (anyone you'd like)
  • 2 cups Water or planted-based milk
  • 1/2 cup Almond flour
  • 1 tbsp Arrowroot powder
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 2 tbsp Plant-based butter


Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan at medium heat and whisk until combined. For an even creamier texture bled all ingredients in a blender first. 

Continue to whisk until thickened. Usually 5-8 minutes.

Dig in.
